Employee Benefits

Nova Development is pleased to offer our employees an excellent comprehensive benefits package! Some of the highlights of our current benefit program include:

Medical Coverage
Nova's medical provider is Blue Cross of California. Employees have the option to choose between two programs, HMO or PPO. Both medical programs include Prescription Drug Coverage. Employees have the option, as well, of purchasing medical benefits for eligible dependents and domestic partners. The medical plan is participatory.

Dental Coverage
Nova is also pleased to offer employees the benefit of participating in a managed care dental plan. Some of the dental plan features include no annual deductibles, no annual maximum limitations and Orthodontia coverage for adults and children. The dental plan is voluntary.

Vision Coverage
Through Vision Plan of America, employees also have the opportunity to elect vision coverage for themselves and dependents. Some of the vision benefits include no cost annual exams, prescriptions and single/bifocal/trifocal lenses. The vision plan is voluntary.

401(k)/Profit Sharing Plan
Nova's 401k savings and investment plan allows employees to defer from 1% to 80% of compensation on a pre-tax basis up to the maximum allowed by the IRS. A broad range of investment options provides the opportunity for maximizing investment returns! Our profit sharing plan is discretionary and determined by the company following the end of each plan year. The entire plan allows you to borrow up to 50% of your account balance with a minimum loan of $1000.

Paid Time Off
As we all need rest at some point, Nova provides paid time off for vacation and sick leave on an accrual basis according to length of service. Vacation accruals carry forward each year with a maximum cap. As an incentive to take care of your health, Nova pays employees for any unused sick leave accruals at the end of each anniversary year. Nova also provides paid time off for holidays such as New Year's, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Thanksgiving and Christmas, to name a few. We've also included your birthday among them!

Service Recognition Awards
Nova has an innovative and fun service recognition award program! Since our employees are the key to our success Nova takes great pleasure in recognizing their years of service. Acknowledgement is given and awards are personally presented by Nova's CEO and President. Gifts include E-Certificates of various denominations (over 100 merchants to choose from!) as well as weekend getaways depending on year of anniversary.
